Terms of service
These terms apply to player.vote, including host workspace, participant, portal, ballot, and public record surfaces. The operator is LocSo Inc. Contact: [email protected].
Continue proves control of an email address. Google continue confirms the Google account's email. Neither proves a unique person, and neither is civic election infrastructure.
Using the service
A host continues with a work email and a short-lived code, or with Google when that provider is configured. A new email creates the workspace. A returning email opens the one already attached to that address. A participant continues the same way on a portal that requires an address.
You must be able to receive mail at the address you continue with, or control the Google account you use. Do not continue on behalf of someone who did not ask you to.
Google continue
When Google continue is offered, player.vote uses official Google Identity OpenID Connect. The scopes are openid, email, and profile. The callback is https://player.vote/api/auth/callback/google.
The authorization code is exchanged on the server. Google access, refresh, and id tokens are not sent to the browser. player.vote keeps the Google subject and the verified email so a later continue can find the same account. If Google keys are missing, Google continue is refused and email continue remains available.
Sessions and records
A host session is an HTTP-only cookie on player.vote. A portal session is a portal-scoped cookie after a one-time handoff. Participant bearers used on ballots are not written as Google tokens.
Closed decisions, public responses, and public records stay readable under the access rules that were in force when they shipped. Erasure follows the product's participant lifecycle, not these terms alone. See the privacy note for what public pages and partner embeds share.
Acceptable use
Do not use player.vote to impersonate a person, to interfere with another host's workspace, or to treat a product vote as a civic election. Do not attempt to recover another person's session, one-time code, or Google subject.
Availability
The service is provided as operated. LocSo Inc. may refuse, rate-limit, or interrupt a continue path that is misconfigured or abused. A named error is not a grant of a stronger identity level.
Changes
Material changes to these terms will be posted at https://player.vote/terms. Continued use after a posted change is acceptance of the posted text.
